Residential Counselor
Residential Program Manager

Description: We are seeking a positive, nurturing manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, administration, and direction of a community residence program serving adults with developmental disabilities. Includes coordinating all program participant services, supervision of staff and regulatory compliance.
- Requirements: This candidate will be required to successfully complete all training mandated by New Visions. College degree preferred. Supervisory experience in Human Services in a Residential setting a plus but not mandatory. Must have clean New York driver's license, valid for 1 year.
Residential Behavior Specialist

Description: The Residential Behavior Specialist provides clinical support to adults with developmental disabilities in residential community placements. Develops behavior support plans, trains staff and works directly with residents in individual and group counseling. Attends psychiatric appointments, interprets data and acts as a key team member. Collaborates with other clinical and program staff. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.
- Requirements: Minimum 2 years relevant experience with Master's Degree. 3-4 years experience is required with Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree in Psychology related field is strongly preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Psychology will be accepted, with sufficient experience. Clean New York State driver's license required for driving between agency residences. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Direct Support Staff - Days
- Description: Our dynamic Day Habilitation program is seeking individuals, full-time, part-time and substitute, to provide direct care to our clients in all daily life activities, engaging in both facility and community-based activities which promote independence, inclusion and individual choice. This is a great opportunity to work with an enthusiastic team. Program operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Requirements: Candidate must have high school diploma/GED, plus a clean New York Driver's License valid for at least one year. Must have own transportation to our Krumkill Road facility. In accordance with New York OMRDD regulations, employees will be required to have a criminal background check and PPD test prior to hire.
Registered Nurse for our Residential Program
Drop-In Center / Respite Worker

Description: If you are looking for a heart-warming, resume-building experience, work in the New Visions Drop-In Center! This is an "after-school" style program where staff provide quality recreational, creative and social opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. The activities may be located in our Center or out in the great community. The program operates Monday - Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Flexible hours are available if you can't work everyday.
- Requirements: Minimum One-year experience working with people with mental retardation, developmental disabilities preferred. Experience working with individuals with behavioral concerns. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required. Clean New York driver's license is required for driving to community events and activities. Must have own transportation to our Krumkill Road facility.
Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant

Description: We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant to coordinate the Accounts Payable function for the agency. Responsibilities include receiving, coding and recording invoices for payment; matching purchase requisitions with invoices; preparing checks for signature and distributing signed checks. This position is also responsible for assisting programs with purchasing supplies as needed and is required to complete all required documentation and record keeping.
- Requirements: MS Excel proficiency and 3-5 years of business-related experience is recommended. Experience with Great Plains accounting software a plus. High School diploma required AAS in Accounting is preferred. Per NYS regulations you must be able to pass a criminal background check. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
LPN / Shift Coordinator

We are currently seeking talented, motivated LPN's to come join our nursing/residential program and make a difference in the lives of others. We are offering the opportunity to work directly in our Residential Program with developmentally disabled adults. Our residences are all located in Albany County and the positions we seek to fill will cover day, evening and weekend shifts. As an LPN/Shift Coordinator, you will be part of a team of staff who meet regularly to share ideas and experiences in our effort to provide the best care possible. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care to adults with developmental disabilities, arrange for and manage appointments, provide transportation in agency vehicles, administer and verify medications, take part in direct care responsibilities and provide assistance to the management team of the residence.
- Requirements: Must have a current NYS license as an LPN. Residential experience and knowledge of OMRDD regulations a plus. Must have a clean and valid NYS Driver License which is required for driving between agency residences and appointments. NYS regulations require reference and criminal background check by NYS-OMRDD. Full-time, 40 hours per week, great salary, and excellent benefits.
