The New Visions food service program, is a full-service catering business serving the tri-cities area of the Capital Region, which offers training and employment opportunities to people with developmental disabilities.
There are currently three sub-components within the program; food service, catering and cafeteria operations. Trainees simultaneously receive vocational training in all areas of food service, with a focus on the simulation of a "real work" environment. The objective of this training is to prepare adults with developmental disabilities for competitive employment within the community. Specialized training is available in such areas as food preparation, cafeteria serving, utensil washing, table bussing and general utility. In conjunction with our Vocational Rehabilitation program, trainees receive life skills training that also aids in their vocational training.
The New Visions food service program specializes in:
• Business & Industry Dining
• K-12 & Private Schools
• State & Federal Buildings
• Vending Services
