Since those first preschool classes in 1951, New Visions has grown and developed into a New York State leader in service provision for people with developmental disabilities. New Visions currently offers educational, habilitative, rehabilitative, vocational, recreational and residential programs and services to over 600 people and their families in the Capital Region.

The New Visions Center, located at 334 Krumkill Road in Slingerlands, has over 35 classrooms, a full-service commercial kitchen and workshop/warehouse production area. Our Residential program currently operates 25 homes, 13 supportive apartments and 4 supervised apartments. Our Community Employment program helps people find and maintain satisfying employment opportunities. We have also established a successful, community-based Day Habilitation program designed to help people become as involved and independent in the greater community as possible.
